The breed

The British Shorthair is a thoroughly uncomplicated breed. Its friendly and especially calm nature quickly adapts to any household, even those with children or other animals. With its round head, stable build, and cozy coat, the British Shorthair resembles a teddy bear. An appearance that matches its character! The British Shorthair's short, dense, easy-to-maintain coat, short, round head with round ears and large yellow eyes, instantly reminds you of a teddy bear. A cat you want to cuddle! It's no wonder the British Shorthair is one of the most beloved cat breeds. The British Shorthair has a stable build. Like other large cat breeds, they grow slowly. The British Shorthair generally doesn't reach adulthood until the age of three. Females then weigh up to 5 kg, males up to 7 kg. This gives the British Shorthair a long life expectancy. They are generally in good health and, with proper care and nutrition, can live for at least 15 years.

Many cat lovers know the British Shorthair in its classic blue, but the color of the British Shorthair leaves nothing to be desired these days. These cats come in all sorts of coat colors and patterns. Fantastic, isn't it?

We believe it's crucial that the noses of our cats don't become too flat. British Shorthairs have a relatively short snout, which, if bred too short, could lead to breathing problems. Unfortunately, a very flat nose is often considered "better," but we prefer healthy noses. As you can see, all our cats have healthy noses, which are the most prominent part of their face. None of our cats or kittens have ever suffered from this and are 100% healthy.
